Benson, Vicky
Epidemiologist
Vicky joined the unit in 2006. She obtained a PhD in environmental epidemiology from the University of Prince Edward Island, Canada and now works as an epidemiologist on the Million Women Study. Her current research focus is on the epidemiology of tumours of the brain and central nervous system, but she has a general interest in cancer and lifestyle risk factors. Vicky is also part of the Cancer Screening Programmes Research Group where she currently works on a project monitoring post colonoscopy complications in those undergoing a colonoscopy as part of the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme.
