Statistical Programmer
Angela Balkwill works as a statistical programmer at the Cancer Epidemiology Unit. She works principally on the Million Women Study, including linkage to hospital record data (Hospital Episode Statistics and the Scottish Morbidity Records), and on the international collaborations on breast, endometrial and ovarian cancers. Angela joined the Unit in 1995; prior to that, she alternated working with Professor Leo Kinlen at the Cancer Research Campaign Epidemiology Unit in Oxford, with teaching mathematics in Papua New Guinea.
