DPhil Student

Yang joined the Cancer Epidemiology Unit in 2022 as a DPhil student in Population Health under the supervision of Dr Tammy Tong, Dr Keren Papier, Prof. Timothy Key, and Prof. Gillian Reeves. Her research focuses on nutritional epidemiology to explore diet and musculoskeletal health and is funded by the NDPH Scholarship. 

Before her doctoral study at Oxford, Yang worked as a research assistant at Zhejiang University and as a physician in Beijing. She received a medical degree from Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou and a master's degree from Columbia University in New York. Yang is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in the US and China. In her spare time, she loves rowing and once completed a Stissing Sprint Triathlon in 2016.
