UnityBC
UnityBC (Understanding Inequities in Breast Cancer) is a new national research study funded by Cancer Research UK.
UnityBC is investigating why experiences and outcomes from breast cancer differ between women from various ethnic backgrounds, including those from White backgrounds, in the UK.
UnityBC is open to all women aged 18 and over who have been diagnosed with breast cancer within the previous 13 months and live in the UK. UnityBC is run entirely online and women self-refer to join the study through our website.
WHAT DOES THE STUDY INVOLVE FOR PARTICIPANTS?
Taking part in UnityBC means completing an online questionnaire.
Women from all ethnic backgrounds, including White backgrounds, are welcome to take part.
You can take part if you:
- Are female
- Are aged 18 years or above
- Live in the United Kingdom
- Were diagnosed with breast cancer in the last 13 months
Please contact the study team if you need to access to study information in another language.
WHAT DOES THE STUDY INVOLVE FOR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALs?
To make women aware of UnityBC we are asking healthcare professionals to display advertising material in primary and secondary care settings.
Healthcare organisations are not involved in the identification, approach, screening, consent, or recruitment of participants.
UnityBC is delivered entirely online and eligible participants self-refer to take part. Women from all backgrounds are encouraged to take part, including White backgrounds, so that we will recruit a diverse, contemporary cohort of women with breast cancer.
Take part in UnityBC for healthcare professionals.
