How to find us

The Richard Doll Building is situated on the University of Oxford’s Old Road Campus, adjacent to the Churchill Hospital, to the east of the city centre.

Parking on campus is severely restricted and staff parking by permit only. Finding a space can be extremely difficult. Even if a parking permit has been obtained, there is no guarantee that space will be available on the day. We encourage all visitors to use alternatives to driving where possible.

Old Road Campus map available to download here.

By Car

  • If coming by car from the east, M40 Junction 8 or 8a, take the A40 then A420 to Headington Centre and follow signs for Churchill Hospital which will bring you to the Old Road Campus.
  • From the north, M40 Junction 9, take A34 then A40 Northern ring road, turning off at Marston (B4150), then B4495 towards Headington and follow signs to Churchill Hospital.

University of Oxford Security Service patrol the car parks and will clamp vehicles found not to comply with the parking regulation requirements.

Visitors and contractors of the University must not park on hospital car parks as they are strictly for patients and visitors to the hospital; non compliance with this rule will attract a Civil Parking Notice
