The Bowel Screening Follow-Up Study was conducted alongside the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme to investigate the characteristics of people who have a positive screening test result, but who do not have bowel cancer found on further tests. Recruitment finished in 2013, and the results are under analysis. The aim of this project is to provide information which may help to improve the management of people who test `false positive’ within the screening programme.
