Qiaoye Jessie Wang
BSc, MPS, MPH, PhD
Postdoctoral Epidemiologist
Jessie joined the Cancer Epidemiology Unit (CEU) in January 2025 as a postdoctoral epidemiologist. Her research focuses on examining the roles of dietary factors and their biomarkers in the development of age-related diseases related to bone and vascular health. She is also interested in exploring proteomic profiles to identify disease-related protein markers, which could provide novel insights into disease aetiological pathways. Her work leverages data from several large UK population-based cohorts, including EPIC-Oxford and UK Biobank.
Prior to joining the department, Jessie completed her PhD in epidemiology at UCL. She earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in the United States. Jessie holds a BSc in food science and human nutrition from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, an MPS in food science and technology from Cornell University, and an MPH in biostatistics from Columbia University. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and snowboarding.
