A comparison of age dependent specific effective energies for the determination of internal doses
Fell TP., Kendall GM., Silk TJ.
Specific Effective Energies (SEEs) for children and young people can be calculated using Monte Carlo techniques in the same way as for adults, but using a phantom appropriate for a child. However, Adams has proposed an approximate method in which SEEs for adults are scaled for other ages. The results of the Adams method are compared with those which use age-specific phantoms.
