Christopher Maronga

Data Manager
Christopher is the data manager for the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition (EPIC-Oxford) and Feeding the Future Study (FEED) studies in the Cancer Epidemiology Unit. He holds an MSc in Statistical Science from Strathmore University and a BSc in Mathematics from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, in Kenya, East Africa.
Having worked at Oxford University’s Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics (NDORMS) and Nuffield Department of Medicine before joining Oxford Population Health, Christopher has a broad experience in managing and analysing healthcare data, and has led successful data management teams in several projects in the course of his career.
He is passionate about creating robust and automated data products and advocating for reproducible research using open-source tools such as R statistical software and RShiny.
