MSc

Systems Developer/Co-ordinator

Heather Young joined Cancer Epidemiology Unit (CEU) in 2007 to develop online questionnaires for use in UK Biobank and the Million Women Study.

The Oxford WebQ, a web-based 24 hour dietary assessment tool, became popular and she customised it for over a dozen studies until she redeveloped it for the Oxford Online Questionnaire Sharing (OQS) service. She is still actively involved in the nutrient calculations for this tool, as well as developing other online questionnaires.

Prior to her role here, Heather worked as a lead clinical trials programmer in the Department of Psychiatry, developing trial management software and online questionnaires for national and international clinical trials and studies.
