Xianqi Li
MPH, PhD
Statistical Epidemiologist
Xianqi joined the Cancer Epidemiology Unit (CEU) in January 2024 as a postdoctoral statistical epidemiologist. His postdoctoral research focuses on shift work-associated sleep disorder (SWD) and its long-term adverse health outcomes.
He leverages large-scale cohorts, including the UK Biobank, the Million Women Study, and EPIC-Oxford, to quantify the burden of SWD and identify risk factors for sleep problems among UK shift workers. This work will provide epidemiological evidence for potential targets in trial intervention design.
Prior to joining the CEU, Xianqi completed his MPH in 2016 and PhD in Epidemiology in 2023 at King's College London. His research there investigated the incidence, survival, prognosis, risk factors, and prediction of intracerebral haemorrhage over a span of 24 years. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Preventive Medicine (2015) from Shandong University in China.
