Zhe Huang

Zhe joined the Cancer Epidemiology Unit in September 2023 as a postdoctoral epidemiologist. His postdoctoral research focuses on multi-omics data and cancer. Specifically, Zhe leverages data from the EPIC study to investigate the proteomic profiles of various cancers (particularly prostate cancer), in which he aims to identify promising proteins that may play etiological roles in the development of cancer.

Additionally, Zhe's work also involves the application of polygenic risk scores to explore the etiological impact of proteins on prostate cancer, along with their interaction with hormonal factors, using data from the UK Biobank. He is also interested in refining risk prediction for prostate cancer by integrating omics data with conventional risk factors.

Prior to joining Oxford, Zhe completed his PhD at the University of Edinburgh. His doctoral research focused on metabolomic profiles associated with cardiovascular phenotypes, as well as the integration of metabolomics data with conventional risk factors for enhanced cardiovascular disease risk prediction. Zhe also holds an MBBS from Central South University and an MPH in Epidemiology from Peking University.
